Hello hello. I am home this Sunday sick from a bad sinus cold. I am also working on a paper and drinking coffee with Lady by my side. She is always wonderful company.
I thought I would procrastinate a little and upload my series of foot x-rays starting in August with the original break through November where I was given my last set of x-rays (upon request of course)
August 13th 2008- Broken 5th Metatarsal

August 29th 2008 - Surgery -
The guide wire is in front and the drill is behind the screw.
I have named the screw Peggy.

November 17th 2008 - Last podiatry appointment!
There she is in all of her glory!

November 17th 2008

Gladly I am back on both of my feet walking! I am so happy that I investigated this kind of break online and was motivated to have surgery by the several foot blogs I came across.
This particular break known as 'Jones Fracture' which has a low re-union rate.
After I read several different peoples stories about how they tried to conservatively heal by wearing a cast for several months and ultimately each person ended up needing surgery after all. So I am pleased that 3 months later I am finished with the whole ordeal.
Thank you to everyone for all of your help!
Love.
