A Hike In Sudden Valley

On a beautiful day in Bellingham last week Brian, Cora, Lady and I took a hike in the Sudden Valley hills. We packed a picnic and were gone for a couple of hours. It was a great time. Lady even jumped into a small stream of water- which we have never seen her do before in the 21 months we have had her. It was really wonderful to see her having such a nice time. Actually we all had a great time.

Cora's Birthday Party!

Brian and I were in Bellingham Washington for about a week to visit his family and take a break from Seattle. Most important was his little sister, Cora's 9th birthday and party!
This year she and a handful of her best friends went to Build-A-Bear Workshop. Where each person (who was willing) was able to start with a unfilled stuffed animal of their choice from a huge variety. After a series of song and games, filling and fluffing each person went home with a new stuffed animal (and a great party favor!) The Build-A-Bear workshop employees are super energetic, I don't know how they do it day in and day out. When filling each animal, the new owner gives them a name and then steps on a peddle to fill. The most touching part of the whole day for me was when Cora named her new bear 'Natalie' - Cora is too adorable and I am so thankful to have her in my life.

Sorry the photos are out of order.. I cannot figure out how to switch them around.

Lady baby at the park

Me and my little love, she moved out of the frame- like always!

Each time I give Lady a bath, she is quick to roll in the grass and get dirty again!

I love to watch her lounge...

But I don't love the dirty part. :o)

Busy busy as a bee

Here are some pictures of the two kids I babysit.

Beautiful Maya!
Our shrinking apartment building...
we live in the business district so our apartment us constantly being built around.
And thats Interstate 5 right in front.

We have been living here for 3 years next month!!!

With two weeks left this quarter life has been busy busy. But I wanted to make a new post as it has been a while.

Brian is planning to attend Summer quarter while I have opted to take a break from school and work for the Summer. I am so looking forward to the time off to enjoy the beautiful Summers that Seattle always brings. I will be working part time as a babysitter as I have been, and will hopefully add another part time job on the side. We are fortunate enough to live in a area flourished with fancy restaurants, so I hope to maybe find a job near by.

Our dog Lady had been doing very good as well. She has reached an age where she constantly runs in her sleep and mumbles sweetly and whatever is torturing her in her dreams. Her coat has become lighter over the time we have had her, especially the hair on her muzzle and head.  She is like my little old baby.

We have a fun trip to Bellingham planned shortly after our finals this month. Brian's little sister will be celebrating her 9th birthday!!! And we are headed up there for a weekend. I will make sure to send an update again soon after that.
